Tim Burns is an attorney, community activist, and the host of the television show Oakland Connection. He is married to Barbra and they have two children, Maggie & Jack. Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University. While attending Bradley, Tim was a member of the school’s 1992 National Collegiate Champion Speech & Debate Team. He than graduated law school from the University of Detroit/Mercy. Tim completed his legal clerkship with the Michigan Attorney General’s High-Tech Crime Unit and was licensed to practice law within Michigan in 2000.
Tim is an avid Detroit Tigers and Bradley Basketball fan, constitutional law scholar and history buff, running enthusiast, and self-described Science Fiction Geek. He also enjoys playing bocce ball, listening to irish folk music, reading John Grisham novels, and watching episodes of “The Big Bang Theory” and “The Daily Show“. Tim describes his greatest weakness as his self-indulgence of ice cream and root beer floats and his greatest strength as his intensive work ethic.
